Cultural Awareness

Latinos tend to give detailed explanations before answering a simple 'yes' or 'no' question. This is considered to be polite. Explaining why they agree or disagree is their way of showing respect to an authority figure.

Phrases such as por favor (please), es un placer (it's my pleasure) and perdón (excuse me) should be used freely. And soften commands with por favor.
